1. About these terms
These terms apply to your use of munox.eu, to membership of MunOx, and to taking part in MunOx events. MunOx is run by MunOx UG (haftungsbeschränkt), Hulbepark 9, 21029 Hamburg, Germany (hello@munox.eu).
2. Membership
2.1 You can apply for membership through our website. Membership is free. We review every application and decide on it at our discretion. There is no right to be accepted.
2.2 You must be at least 18 years old to apply. The information you give us must be accurate, and you must keep it up to date.
2.3 As a member, you receive information by email about challenges, events and opportunities available to members. These emails are part of your membership. Our newsletter and the MunOx Review are separate, and you receive them only if you sign up for them.
2.4 You can end your membership at any time by emailing hello@munox.eu. We can end a membership with reasonable notice, or immediately if a member seriously or repeatedly breaches these terms.
3. Events
3.1 Registration for our events takes place on Luma. Details of each event (date, place, any requirements) are given on its event page.
3.2 Places are limited. Registering does not guarantee a place until we confirm it.
3.3 We may change or cancel an event for important reasons, for example if a speaker drops out or not enough people register. We will tell registered participants as early as possible.
3.4 If you can no longer attend, please cancel your registration so that someone else can take your place.
3.5 Participants under 18 need the consent of a parent or guardian, where the event is open to them.
3.6 We may take photos and videos at events and use them to report on our work, for example on our website and on LinkedIn. We will tell you about this at the event. If you do not want to appear, let us know on the day.
3.7 You are responsible for your own belongings at events.
4. Challenges and applications
If you apply for a challenge or a role, separate conditions apply, and we publish them with each challenge. If a partner organisation offers the challenge or role, we pass your application on to that organisation (see our Privacy Policy).
5. Code of conduct
We want MunOx to be a space where everyone can take part. We expect everyone at our events and in our community to treat others with respect. Harassment, discrimination and disruptive behaviour are not tolerated. We may exclude anyone who breaches this from an event or end their membership.
6. Content and rights
6.1 The content of this website (texts, design, logos, images) belongs to MunOx or its licensors. You may not copy or reuse it without our permission, except where the law allows.
6.2 What you send us (for example your application or CV) remains yours. You allow us to use it to the extent needed to process your application and run your membership.
7. Liability
7.1 We are liable without limitation for damage caused intentionally or by gross negligence, and for injury to life, body or health.
7.2 For slight negligence, we are liable only for breaches of obligations essential to fulfilling the purpose of these terms. In that case our liability is limited to the typical, foreseeable damage.
7.3 These limits do not apply where the law requires otherwise, for example under the Product Liability Act (Produkthaftungsgesetz).
7.4 We link to external websites. We are not responsible for their content.
8. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms, for example when we introduce new offerings. We will inform members of any changes by email before they take effect. If you do not agree to a change, you can end your membership.
9. Governing law
German law applies. If you are a consumer, the mandatory consumer protection rules of the country where you normally live continue to apply. If you are a merchant, the courts of Hamburg have jurisdiction.
